BIO
Annie Wang was born in 1972 and grew up in Beijing. She came to the United States in
1993 and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1996. She worked in The
Washington Post's Beijing bureau before becoming a contract interpreter for the U.S. State
Department. She has published several books in China; this is her first book written in
English.
