Amy Gutman is an honors graduate of Harvard Law School. A former newspaper reporter in Tennessee and Mississippi, she practiced law for four years in New York City before quitting to write full-time. She was also the founding director of the Mississippi Teacher Corps and now serves on the New York City Bar Association's Lawyers in Transition Committee. Equivocal Death is her first novel.
