Amy Poehler

Amy Poehler is an actress, comedian, and writer. She studied improve at The Second City in Chicago, and went on to become a founding member of the comedy troupe Upright Citizens Brigade in New York City. Poehler was a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 2001 to 2009, where she was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. She currently stars as Leslie Knope on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, for which she was nominated for four Emmys for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, two Golden Globe Awards, and one Screen Actors Guild Award. She doesn’t even care that she lost to Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Melissa McCarthy, and Tina Fey. Really. Poehler lives in Los Angeles, and this is her first book.
