Adrian Tinniswood is a Visiting Fellow in Heritage at Bath Spa University and the author of many books, including PIRATES OF BARBARY and THE VERNEYS, which was shortlisted for the BBC Samuel Johnson Prize for Nonfiction. He lives in Bath, England.
